Dr. Thomas Wedlick will be presenting at the RoboBusiness Conference September 27-28, 2017 in Santa Clara, California. Dr. Wedlick will be a panelist for the session entitled, 'Protect Your IP and Get Ahead of Robotics Regulations.' Dr. Wedlick will discuss topics such as safety, standards, regulation, security, privacy, and IP for robotic systems.
For more than 12 years, RoboBusiness has brought together thousands of executives, engineers, investors, startups, and robotics experts from around the world to learn from one another and build robotics strategies that can immediately be put to use to grow their businesses and stay ahead of the competition.
Dr. Wedlick has helped clients develop robotic systems, analyze robot safety, and investigate incidents involving robotic and automated systems. He is a voting member of every committee accredited by ANSI specifically related to robotics, as well as an Expert Member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) workgroup on medical robot safety standards. The scope of these committees includes industrial robots, mobile robots, collaborative robots, and medical robots. Dr. Wedlick is also co-chair of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Industrial Advisory Board Subcommittee on Outreach and Access to Talent.
